Hello, Kaaba Mental Therapy Community!
As we wrap up November, let's take a moment to reflect on the impactful initiatives and events we've accomplished together. This month was dedicated to raising awareness, Increasing community Projects and fostering overall well-being, showcasing our commitment to mental health support and engagement.
Key Achievements for November:
Mental Health Awareness Initiatives
- Affirmation Series: We shared random positive affirmations to inspire self-love and resilience. Look for these uplifting posts on our social media, specially on IG.
- 16-day Awareness Posts: Throughout the month, we provided informative posts highlighting key mental health topics, 16-day of activism, ending violence, stopping stigma and harming of survivors.
- Weekly Check-ups: Our regular Saturday mental health check-up sessions allowed members to share feelings and receive support from peers and professionals.

In-Person Community Events
1. Female Youth Conference: Impact of Trauma; Recognizing and Healing: Our regular monthly FYC we talked this time the trauma, how it effects, impacts and healing process, 30+ young female youth benefited this conference. Maryam Mohamud implemented this conference.
2. Panel Discussion: Our regular monthly Panel discussion we had a panel list of two from ministry of woman and human right; Mohamed jama & Fawsiya Abdullahi, Maryam Mohamud as a Moderator under the topic of Stopping GBV Before it starts; Prevention, Root, Causes & Mental health. the two panelist were deeply talked about GBV and how we could end it, 15+ youths both Male and Female participated this discussion and asked different valuable questions.
3. Female Youth Conference: while we were in the middle of 16-day of Activism we hosted a FYC talked about the topic of "Stop harming her; protect women from physical and emotional violence" 40+ female youth being part of this amazing event, they learnt, explored and recognizing different type of violence both physical and emotional, how they affect their daily life, Kaaba always created a safe space for all different community levels, this allows them to talk their issue openly without judgement. Nusaiba Abdinasir and Sagal Yusuf facilitated this event.
Webinars
1. Impact of Mental health on social media- 5-11-2025 Moderated by Ismahan Abdinasir
This webinar it benefited 35+ individuals and they have an interactive session about the impact of social media both children and adolescents.
2. Mental health Program cohort (2) webinar- 7-11-2025 Moderated by Maryam Mohamud
This webinar aims that people interesting to be part of Mh program cohort (2) understand the eligibility, requirements, Applying procedure and program overview over 50+ young youth joined this.
3. Use Positive language; focusing on growth and wellness- 11-11-2025 Moderated by Ismahan Abdinasir
This webinar aims to shift the people's eyes from problem to growth and wellness to reach full personal well-being over 34 people benefited this webinar.
4. Effect of Cyberbullying on Mental health- 18-11-2025 Moderated by Nuseiba Abdinasir
Cyberbullying is a part of violence and this webinar aims to recognize their impact of mental health. increase the awareness and explore the service we could provide. over 65+ joined this amazing webinar.
5. Role of Education in Addressing digital based violence & Psychological Impact of digital based violence-25-11-2025 Moderated by Mushtaq & Asia.
This webinar is a One of the major webinars kaaba hosted ever over 100+ joined this webinar, we accepted all of us lack of education increases trauma and the silence of survivor, psychological impact of DBGV in long term and short term, we agreed that we must stop totally DGBV and all GBV types.
6. Role of Media on Addressing Digital Gender Based Violence- 27-11-2025 Moderated Abdirashiid Taakilo & Asia.
This amazing webinar increased awareness of digital violence and addressed the role of media. It discussed how media can contribute to violence and, on the other hand, the power of media in stopping it. Over 45 participants joined and benefited from this webinar.
Community Projects
1. Psychosocial support and Basic Psychological First Aid (3-4): we implemented 2-day workshop in different community members while we educate providing PFA and Psychosocial support for people leave in chronic medical condition, neurological & disabilities.

2. You're not Alone (10-17) : projects implemented Kaaba Mental therapy alumni with collaboration of Mudug specialist Hospital, this projects had 2 phase.
Phase 1: Online: Community Mental health workshop; Fatima Abdullahi (KMHP-cohort 1 Alumni) implemented and 50+ individuals benefited this workshop.
Phase 2: Offline: Postpartum Mental health at Ajuuraan IDPs camp; Istar Adam & Maryam Mohamud with collaboration of Mudug Specialist Hospital implemented this project, over 100+ Mothers living in Ajuuran IDPs benefited and participated this project.
3. Galkayo Peace Week (12-13): Kaaba has profoundly was part of Galkayo Peace Week, while we shared our community and participant what is Kaaba, vision, mission and our amazing work we had our community, we build this event alot of network, and got a constant compliment from government, members, business owners, people inters in mental health, grant raising organization and we had alot of collaboration this 2-day, during the events our representers give different TVs and Radio Interview about Kaaba and how it works. Asia & Asha represent us Galkayo Peace Week.
4. East Africa University (16-18): We implemented successfully 3-day Training of MHPSS for GBV survivors, EAU students participated actively to this training. Asia Hersi Facilitated this Training.

5. Mental Health Program cohort (2): We officially started mental health program cohort (2), they took orientation day and we welcomed all the students with warmly hands, Maryam Mohamud & Nusaiba Abdinasir Implemented this session.
Week 1: Orientation Day: This week aimed to introduce all the cohort participants, discuss the curriculum, select the leaders and welcoming to Kaaba Mental Therapy Family.
6: Let's Unite Hooyo cohort (3): we officially opened November Hooyo aan Midawno Projects and completed successfully 5-week session, 20 mothers exclusively benefited the sessions, major topics that new mothers learnt deeply and discussed including;

Week 2: Building Social Support
Week 3: Self care
Week 4: Postpartum Mental health
Week 5: Positive Parenting Style
This space was only for new mothers, we created this space to feel safe mothers, heal and empower and learn basic mental well-being for-example stress and stress management.
7. REJO PODCAST: We officially announce that Rejo podcast applauded every Saturday Kaaba's YouTube have completed or ended in 15 Episodes. we openly hands welcome you different vedios, podcasts and interesting topics.
8: Collaboration of NGOs and Hospitals, TVs: November we had different collaboration from other community based foundations, NGOS, TVs, Community members including;
- Empower Rise Hub: we collaborated through implementing together workshops, increasing awareness of 16-day of activism through social media vedios message.
- Rejo Community: Siciid shirwac member of Rejo community collaborated us to give our research team training of implementing research and how we develop our research department, he shared us his experience.
- Mudug Specialist Hospital: Mudug collaborated us implementing you're not Alone project Phase (2), postpartum mental health workshop of mother living Ajuuraan IDPs camp.
- Abdirashid taakilo: member from community TV & film director collaborated us to implement workshop of Role of media and digital based violent.
