Hello, Kaaba Mental Therapy Community!

As we wrap up October, let's take a moment to reflect on the impactful initiatives and events we've accomplished together. This month was dedicated to raising awareness and fostering community well-being, showcasing our commitment to mental health support and engagement.

Key Achievements for October:

Mental Health Awareness Initiatives

  1. Affirmation Series: We shared random positive affirmations to inspire self-love and resilience. Look for these uplifting posts on our social media!

  2. Mental Health Awareness Posts: Throughout the month, we provided informative posts highlighting key mental health topics and resources.

  3. Weekly Check-ups: Our regular Saturday mental health check-up sessions allowed members to share feelings and receive support from peers and professionals.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY CAMPAINGS

  • Webinars:

    • Ismahan Abdinasir: "Building a Community that Helps Each Other's Mental Well-being" (13-Oct-2025)
This webinars highlights how we build a community that helps each other mental well-being, and also build a strong social support.

    • Asho Ahmed: "Parenting and Mental Well-being" (27-Oct-2025)
On world mental health day, this webinar we initiated to educate parents the parenting style and how it effects children mental health.

    • Samia Abdulqadir: "The Role of Parents in Development & Equality in Mental Well-being" (17-Oct-2025)
Samia our Mental health program cohort (1) Alumni participated us on World Mental Health Day on the topic of the Role of parents in development & equality in mental-wellbwing.


Maan-dhowr Project

Asia Hersi our Founder & Executive director implemented 3-Day of Mind care/ Maan-Dhawr project through virtual campaign and it was participated 140+ Somali Youth & Adults.


3-Day Workshop:

  • Day 1: Psychological First Aid (24-Oct-2025)

  • Day 2: The Impact of AI on Mental Health Through Social Media Platforms (25-Oct-2025)

  • Day 3: Personal Stigma Surrounding Mental Health (26-Oct-2025)

  1. Regular Mental Health Posts: Continued sharing of vital information and resources.

  2. 50% Counseling WMHD 2025:  We offered 50% and free counseling session for the sake of World Mental Health Day under the theme of "Access to service of mental health in Humanitarian and Emergencies"

  3. Staff Orientation: Welcoming new staff with a focus on our mission and values.
